Code of Conduct

  1. A student should affix his / her photograph and write the required information, duly signed by the parent, in the space provided for, in the Student’s almanac. Students must carry the almanac to school every day.
  2. Every student will wear an identity Card/Grade Badge in school.
  3. Students are expected to treat members of staff and guests in a dignified and appropriate manner and shall greet them appropriately. Students will greet teachers as madam/miss/sir as appropriate.
  4. Students should be clean and neatly dressed. The school uniform is to be worn every day and for all school functions and activities. No slogan writing or scribbling is permitted either on the school uniform or on the person. Defaulters will be dealt with severely.
  5. Students are expected to respect all property. No student should damage the school furniture, write or draw anything on the walls or in any way damage things belonging to others. Damage done even by accident should at once be reported to the grade teacher or to the Principal. Any damage done will be made good by the one who causes it. Anyone who notices something damaged should report the matter to the school authorities even if they do not know who is responsible.
  6. Students are not allowed to bring any sharp objects such as knives, blades, etc. or any kind of object that can cause injury to others.
  7. Students who commute in the care of servants Should never leave before the servant arrives. In case of any delay, they should inform the school office.
  8. The school reserves the right to suspend or to take strict disciplinary action against a student whose diligence or progress in studies is constantly unsatisfactory, or whose conduct is harmful to other students.
  9. No student shall indulge in any of the following practices, namely:
  10. a) Use of drugs or intoxicants, except on prescription by a registered medical practitioner. ’
  11. b) Use of violence in any form.
  12. c) Students are strictly prohibited to bring cell phones to school or on school buses.
  13. Parents are required to inform the school if there is any change in their address and/or phone/mobile numbers.
  14. No student is allowed to visit any of the kiosks situated around the school and if caught doing so, will be subjected to appropriate disciplinary measures.
  15. Disobedience and violation of school rules shall be dealt with in a manner the school deems fit.
  16. Students should bring to the notice of the teacher/parent, as the case may be, any entry made in the almanac by either the parent or the school. They should have their parents make appropriate entries in the almanac whenever necessary (e.g., request for leave).
  17. During school hours no student shall leave the school premises.
  18. At the first warning bell, pupils must assemble for daily prayer at the specified place. At the second bell, all will do prayer. After the prayer, all will walk silently to their classes in a queue.
  19. Every student must feel that the property of the school is his/her own property.
  20. The school does not accept responsibility for the loss of books, money, clothes and other things of the pupils.
  21. No student will be allowed to go home during school hours unless he or she brings a letter from his or her father or guardian.
  22. Students must be well-disciplined, well-behaved and well-mannered.
  23. They must come to school on time with proper preparation for lessons.
  24. Bring this school diary daily to school and note in it your daily homework assignments.
  25. Come to the school ten minutes before the prayer.
  26. Be careful not to make a noise and disturb other classes when you move from one class to another.
  27. Stand up when the teacher or any visitor enters the class. Remain standing until you are asked to sit down.
  28. Ask permission from the teacher if you are to go out of the class or if you are to enter the class.
  29. Keep your classroom neat and clean. Do not scratch or disfigure the walls, scatter pieces of paper on the floor, damage the school furniture or spill ink on the floor.
  30. Treat the elders with respect. Stand straight when talking to the elders. To stand with hands inside the pockets looks odd.
  31. Greet the elders by saying ’Namaskar’, ’Good Morning’ or ’Good afternoon.
  32. Always bring the prescribed textbooks to class.
  33. English should be spoken on the school premises.
